The important lesson to learn here is to put the middle tall piece (Shin) at a 10-15 degree angle, the second piece (Soe-about 3/4 of the length of the Shin piece) at a 45 degree angle, and the piece to the far right (Hikae) at a 75 degree angle. Then the other pieces have degrees and angles and lengths relating to those other pieces, and the small flowers you just kind of put where you want. Everyone in the class (nine older ladies) did really well, but mine got applause... My teacher did help me a little, but I decided where to put most of it. Apparently, I have a "good sense for flower arrangement." yaaaaaaaay
Then after work I went to eat at Yuuki's, one of my favorite places that's two houses down from where I work. I took a video of it even--can you guess what I'm saying at the end? And yes, I am the only one in the restaurant. Cool.

Looks delightful! But what are you saying - I never could read lips.

Your flowers look beautiful. I'm not surprised though. I never realized flower arranging was that calculated.

I knew you were saying "so good!" I guess I can read lips after all! Outstanding, and very beautiful, flower arrangement! You obviously have what it takes! What a great skill to take home with you!
Love,
Dad
Kinda sad that you were eating alone. :-( Or was there someone there with you? Was that a model of a Japanese Zero airplane from World War II hanging above the bar?
Daddy-O
