My Thoughts on Breaking Dawn! It's about time!!

When I was reading Breaking Dawn, I decided to write down notes and thoughts and reactions to it in a Word document! I've waited to post that because SOME OF YOU *eh hem, mom* haven't read the book yet, and I didn't want to spoil it for anyone.

**Therefore, if you don't want to read major spoilers, STOP HERE!**


(I'm writing post-reading thoughts, but I'll post things I wrote in that file too, and will let you know when I do)

*Okay, first of all, "Renesmee"? Um, gag me. That is a hideous name. And it's such a Mormon thing to do!! Gahh...
I can't believe it's over though. I loved how Edward could finally hear her. That was so beautiful. :) *sigh* I was kind of disappointed that there was no huge fight at the end, that they ended up solving it very politically with *scoff* words. haha.. I wanted at least Jane to die. Or a member of the old Volturi dudes.

Note from Chapter 1:
-omg I can’t breathe, my heart’s going a mile a minute. I don’t want to get up for food or hygiene responsibilities. I know that going in to work today will be the test of a lifetime.

Chapter 3

-BOISE, IDAHO!!! Bwahahahaha
-I’m finding myself sharing Bella’s nervousness for getting married. It’s terrifying!!!
-ha, “blushing bride”. that will be me alright.
-oh man, the giving away of the bride. Heart wrenching~ I’ll probably cry when it's my turn.
-oh bella, you kissed him too long. haha
-Seth is so nice~ Awwwww~~


Chapter 4

Oh, my heart! “Mrs. Cullen”!!!!!!!!
I’m glad Jacob showed up. :)
Too bad he ended up not in the best of moods…

Chapter 5

“Stage fright.” Ha, good way to put it. I’m terrified.
hahahahah Isle Esme, of course.
“Did my skin burst into flames?” oh man, killin me.
This quote is exactly how I feel: “How did people do this —swallow all their fears and trust someone else so implicitly with every imperfection and fear they had—with less than the absolute commitment Edward had given me?”

*I am very pleased with the way Stephenie Meyer wrote about the *eh hem* newlyweds. She did it with muchmuch class. But also in a way that was like, "oh, be still my heart!"


Chapter 6

Awesome quote when Bella is upset about the lack of..."nuzzling" (haha) : “he would lure me out of the house with magic words like coral reefs and submerged caves and sea turtles.”
-haha, ‘magic words’, hahahahahahahah, BWAhahahaHA
This is awesome:
"Do you want to swim with the dolphins this afternoon —burn off the calories?" he asked.
"Maybe later. I had another idea for burning calories."
"And what was that?"
"Well, there's an awful lot of headboard left —"
But I didn't finish. He'd already swept me up into his arms, and his lips silenced mine as he carried me with inhuman speed to the blue room.

*This is my reaction to Bella being preggo, which I kind of suspected when she started eating so much... :
“unexpected”… WHAT? Um, preggo??!?!?! NO WAY. I sure hope not.
NO…. Ok, breathe, she hasn’t taken the test yet….
NO WAY. a lump!?!?!?! already!??!!? NO WAY. no.NO WAY.


*And then I was so relieved when Jacob started taking over. I loved reading him! And the titles to his chapters were HILARIOUS! He gave some groundedness to all of Bella's insanity. I felt bad for the guy though. He loved her still so much! I predicted though that he would...imprint... on Bella's baby. It only made sense. I'm glad that Bella got so mad though! :D That was awesome!


Chapter 8

This is such a good description: The thoughts bounced around inside my skull like a disoriented swarm of bees. Noisy. Now and then they stung. Must be hornets, not bees. Bees died after one sting. And the same thoughts were stinging me again and again.

Chapter 10

“Did you know that ‘I told you so’ has a brother, Jacob?” she asked, cutting me off. “His name is ‘Shut the hell up.” hahahahaha, she got it from the Simpsons. Awesome.

*All through these chapters I kept saying/writing: WHAT??? WHAT?!?!?!? W.H.A.T?!?! NO Way noway no. way. NO WAY. It just kept getting more and more weird. And I actually began to feel sick from all the stress it was causing me. I wanted to throw up. Weird.

*I love Seth, btw! He's so cute! I love how he just sat there chillin' with the vamps. haha, cute! And I loved Jake's reaction when he saw it: 'What the hell?' hhaha

Chapter 13

-Jacob says, “Bada bing” BWAHAHAHA Jacob!!! I almost choked cuz I was laughing so hard. hahahhahahahahhahahahaha
-But dang, how can jake be so…nonchalant without clothes....?? just talkin’, ya know, nothin’ to it. I’m shocked. (This is when he comes out of wolf form and is just talkin with his pack/buddies)
-haha, “neked time!” (That quote is from the Harry Potter puppet pals Dumbledore!) haha

*I was really mad at the baby for hurting Bella. Geez, she's insane.

*I thought it was cute how Edward could hear the baby's thoughts before it was born. aww~


Chapter 17

(brilliant. wizard of oz. brilliant)
awww “imprint already”. poor guy. I feel ya.

*I was happy when it was finally Bella's turn to talk again. And I loved how when she hugged him, Edward said: “carefully, Bella. Ow.” :D Edward said 'ow'!!!!! :D That's a new one!

*The rest of the book I didn't take many notes cuz I was so wrapped up in reading, and wanted to finish it as FAST as possible. I couldn't get through it fast enough. Maybe it wasn't just me though. It seemed to go on forever, building up and building up, but the climax was, meh, alright. I mean, I'm really glad her power was extra cool and stuff. That was fun. And her learning to be a vampire! That was awesome how she won the arm wrestle with Emmett! :D
