Fahhhbulous!

I had another Ffaaaaahhhbulous ladies lunch with Ryoko-san! MAN, French food with a Japanese twist is GOOD. Here's me, surprised at how gastronomically pleasing the dessert is!! :D

Me and Ryoko-san~ We love the Grand Hotel French Restaurant!!!!

After lunch, we had some free time before I started work, so we went around town to places that I probably won't get the chance to go to again. This shrine, for one.

I played "model" for Ryoko-san, who was being camera happy. haha... She loves taking pictures of foreigners...~ haha~ :) I'm a little scared to see all the shots she got! We also went to Hiyoriyama, which was really nice to go to again. Awww

oh MAN. Today. Good day. But also sad. Halfway through Junior A class with Junya and Yuho I realized that it was our last class together. (Blake will teach them next week. I think.) When I realized and told them that, Junya just was like, "EH? what??" He looked shocked! :*( So I decided to stop the lesson and play a game. :D And THEN, what KILLED me, was how it was time for class to end, and I said (as usual), "thank you for coming," and they said, "thank you for teaching." But what happened next was not usual. They didn't leave. :( *cry!* Usually they just walk on out. But today... today I had to almost force them out. Well, I stood up, and was confused when they didn't follow suit like they usually did. And then I opened the door. Nope, they still didn't get up. They just sat there, I think in shock, and sad looking. :( After some prodding, they finally got up, and I said, "Thank you, for a wonderful year," and Junya, he laughed nervously and nodded "yyyeah." Well, I can't explain it well, but it was so SAD!

My next class I had Keita, and he was awesome as usual. He's really grown up in the last six months and his English has skyrocketed~ We had fun learning and saying tongue twisters!

My heart! GOSH! But I couldn't be sad at the school--it was like, all I felt was hope and happiness for my students. But now, at home, ...dang. GAH!

Dear daughter, what a wonderful, sad, joyous experience! You'll never be able to say you didn't run the whole gamut of emotions and experiences in your teaching. Priceless memories.

Sorry to be so dumb, but who is Ryoko-san? She looks like a wonderful lady! Coming back to Utah and Idaho I think might be quite a letdown from what you're accustomed to. :-O

What a wonderful experience this has been. You'll have stories to tell (like you Korean Christmas)and things to teach (like flower arranging and eating with chopsticks)your children! (Grandchildren, sisters and parents too!)
