Nanny job!

So I've spent the last week in Utah, trying to figure out my life and future, and to see if moving here was a good idea. I stayed with my good friend Mary, and slept on her loverly couch~ But immediately I felt that moving in with her was not the right thing to do. Then I thought: 'well, I contacted someone about a nanny job earlier, what if I was able to get an interview?' I got one set up the very next day! Michele, the mom, said that she liked me and would contact me later in the week so I could come up and do a trial period where I get trained and meet the family and stuff.

Well, I spent the entire week really on edge because I didn't know if this was something I should go for. BUT! She called me and asked me if I could come on Sunday for a couple days! So that's where I am right now. And guess what--I like it!

Their home is in Deer Valley, and it's four stories! It kind of reminds me of the Matsunaga home, but on a much much larger scale. :) It's so nice! :D I've got my own room and bathroom on the main level, and I can even use the room next to me to watch TV or read or whatever privately, so that's AWESOME. Check out the pics I took of my room!

My first day was basically shadowing Michele, and watching how she cares for Gary, who is 14 months old. I met the dad, whose name is also Gary. He's definitely got a New York accent!

Tomorrow, if Little Gary is feeling well (it seemed like he got a cold), we are all going to go cross county skiing! I'm not sure how Gary will be able to do that, maybe ride a sled? But that would be fun! And then afterwards we would get lunch. But if he's not feeling well, then I will stay home with him and play. ^^

I'm so excited for this job. I really hope that they like me enough to keep me on! OH! And before the end of this month they want to go to Palm Springs, CA for about 10 days, and would want me to go with them! So I might be able to see Emily! :D

Last night I hung out with Brittany and we went to Wingers! She didn't especially enjoy it, but we had fun nonetheless~ We took this picture in memory of Japan when we did this at the mall with Yuki. awwww~~~

Wow! Even the most "plain" part of the guest quarters is nicer than our house! It truly is amazing what some folks are able to obtain! Praying that this will be a good fit, and that you will have yet another rich and life changing experience.

Anxious for more photos of you, the home, and the family.

Don't forget us down here on Poverty Flats. :-D

Love,
Dad
