A couple months ago I went to a Japanese festival. One of their presentations (among kendo and taiko drums) was Ikebana: Japanese Flower Arrangement. Three ladies did a flower arrangement at the same time while one commented on what they were doing and what Ikebana was. Well! I thought it was awesome because I really wanted to get into that again, so afterwards I went up to the lady in charge of the Ikebana thing and was like, "Do you teach a class?? Can I sign up?!?" :) She, among all the Japanese ladies surrounding her, was so surprised and happy about that! haha :)
So because I got sick and then was out of town, I hadn't been able to go to her lessons, which are once a month, but this last Friday, I WENT! It was a lot of fun, even though I was nervous because I was really really rusty. It was just me, two other younger ladies, and the woman teaching. It was held in her house and it was really relaxed and nice. I made this!

And afterwards we had tea and cookies~ They are all super nice, and have invited me to do other stuff with them like potlucks and stuff. I'm excited for next month!
